Client:
Offshore workforce training provider
Location:
Perth workshop build and delivered to training facility
Value:
Approximately 800,000 AUD
Contract:
Design and build of training structures
Setting:
Emergency response simulation environment
Scope:
HUET helicopter module, training pool and confined space unit
An offshore training provider engaged BMR to design and construct a HUET helicopter training module, pool, and confined space training units. The goal was to provide realistic simulation for offshore emergency response training while maintaining compliance, durability, and operational safety. BMR’s solution needed to allow rapid commissioning and long-term use without onsite rework.
The training structures were exposed to high-frequency use and water immersion, demanding durable construction and corrosion protection. The client required certification compliance on first inspection and minimal lead times. Any rework would delay training delivery and disrupt operational schedules.
BMR designed and prefabricated robust, modular training structures with specialist coatings for corrosion and wear resistance. Welding certification, NDT, and full QA were completed prior to dispatch. Trial assembly in the workshop verified fit, function, and operational safety before delivery. Execution steps included: • Workshop validation of load-bearing and moving components • Close coordination with trainers and regulatory assessors • Full documentation and certification for first-pass approval
The facility passed inspection and went live without rework. The training provider now operates with reliable, low-maintenance structures that allow realistic emergency training scenarios. The project demonstrated BMR’s capability in delivering high-specification, safety-critical modular infrastructure.
The project enabled faster operational readiness, improved training realism, and reduced ongoing maintenance requirements. The structures’ durability and compliance strengthened the client’s reputation as a leading offshore workforce training provider.
