Newmont Boddington Gold retained BMR to provide embedded SMP site services and maintenance across its gold processing operations. BMR supplied a permanent team of tradespeople, supervisors, and management to ensure daily maintenance, planned shutdowns, and minor project delivery could be executed reliably. The focus was on maintaining operational uptime, improving asset reliability, and supporting long-term production continuity.
The client required dependable maintenance and fast mobilisation during scheduled shutdowns, while also reducing unplanned breakdowns. Documentation, QA traceability, and repeatable processes were critical to maintain compliance in a high-volume production environment. Coordination across multiple trades and tight production schedules created ongoing challenges for consistency and operational efficiency.
BMR implemented a standardised site services model that included digital QA records, structured workflows, and offsite preassembly of components for shutdowns. Performance and maintenance data were reviewed continuously to refine preventive maintenance schedules and optimise spare parts stocking.
